Evangelism Ministry
Matthew 28:19-20 (NIV)
“Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”
The aim of our Evangelism Ministry is to go out in to the community to share the Gospel of Christ. We encourage individuals to accept Jesus as their Lord and Savior and assist them to become His Disciples.
Evangelism Ministry Mission Statement:
To exemplify the love of God by sharing the Gospel of Jesus Christ under the guidance of the Holy Spirit.
Our Mission, Goal & Purpose:
- Support the church’s mission statement of ” making disciples who know Jesus Christ personally and intimately”.
- Execute the Evangelism Mission Statement by exemplifying the love of God by sharing the Gospel of Jesus Christ under the guidance of the Holy Spirit.
- Bring people to Christ. We do this by reaching out into the community to share the Good News.
- Through fellowship, prayer, sharing of scripture, or offering resources for assistance.
For more information please contact: women@njworship.org
Our Evangelism Ministry goes out and tells the “Good News” of how man is separated from God by sin. God sent Jesus, His Son, to die on a cross and pay the price for our sins. If we turn away from sin, accept Jesus as our Savior and follow Him, we will be forgiven of our sins and have a relationship with God.
If you have a passion for ministering to the needy and those who live in the surrounding areas, we welcome you into our Evangelism Ministry.

Ushers
Everyone who enters into the House of the Lord is welcome. “Therefore receive one another, just as Christ also received us, to the glory of God.” – Romans 15:7
Mission Statement
The ushers primary mission is to SERVE. Their goal is to exemplify Christ and their Church through their service. Ushers serve the Lord by recognizing their spiritual gifts, and enthusiastically investing them into the ministry of the Church. They believe, “A true servant is loyal and obedient to the Master – even when it’s not convenient.”
Purpose
An usher is one who serves as an official doorkeeper; therefore, ushers escort disciples and guests to their seats as well as assist with any needs during the worship service. An usher is usually the first or second point of contact when someone enters the church, so it is important that all are greeted in love and with a “HOLY” smile. Since ushers give the first impression of their Pastor and Church family, they work especially hard to make sure that everyone feels welcome and at home.
The Ushers Ministry meets on the Second Tuesday of each month at 8:00 PM
Other Ministries
Hospitality Ministry
The Hospitality Ministry is a ministry that practices hospitality as modeled through the Old and New Testaments. In 1Peter 4:9-10 we observe demonstrations of hospitality. Our mission is to have an effective and motivated Christ centered group of greeters to welcome our guests. We are striving to be a loving model of warmth, to be friendly and to exhibit kindness to our guests and congregants though the act of hospitality and through our words.
Justice Ministry
This ministry’s goal is to reach out to those that are incarcerated and present Christ to the unsaved. Ministry members also provide resources and support to ex-offenders and their families as they reenter society. Activities include visits to various correctional facilities and serving as conduits to mainstream those served into the New Jerusalem Family. The ministry also conducts annual Angel Tree program during the Christmas holidays.
Media Ministry
The purpose of the Media Ministry is to enhance the church worship experience through the use of culturally relevant methods of communication in support of the Pastoral and Music Ministries. Media is used to develop and enhance an environment conducive to the movement of the Holy Spirit. Enhancements are meant to cultivate spiritual growth and provide an atmosphere that supports and encourages worship both within the sanctuary and through the use of external media outlets.
The Technical Ministries that make up the Media Ministry include audio, video, screens, image projection (IMAG), media duplication and website. The ministry supports all ministries and events at the church that have technical needs.
The ministry is an all volunteer ministry and we welcome new members whether experienced or not as we are willing to train all that are willing to learn.
Nursing Ministry
The Nursing Ministry is designed to provide comfort, care, and concern for worshippers that are ill or under stress. We administer emergency/first aid treatment to worshippers for sudden illnesses or injury during the course of Worship Service.
The Nursing Ministry is also responsible for assisting the Pastor, Ministers and pulpit staff during worship services.
Pastor’s Care Ministry
The purpose of the Pastor’s Care Ministry is to attend to the needs of the Pastor, his family and ministers as they lead services. The nature of the work of the Pastor and ministers suggest a call and commission by Christ and is entitled to the liberal support of those whom they labor for. The Pastoral Care Ministry assists the Pastor via spiritual encouragement and moral support. We further believe that untold blessings can be reclined by those who help their Pastor (Philippians 4:16-19).
