Rev. Dr. Calvin Rice

 
Senior Pastor

On July 14, 2004, Rev. Dr. Calvin Rice was overwhelmingly elected to succeed New Jerusalem Founder, Rev. James C. Kelly, and began his pastorate on January 2, 2005. 

As Senior Pastor, Dr. Rice has overall responsibility to preach the gospel, administer the ordinances, watch over the membership, and have charge of the spiritual welfare of the congregation and the stated services of public worship.

Rev. Sondra Browne

Executive Minister

Under the senior pastor's guidance, the executive minister assists the Pastor in vision implementation through organizing and coordinating the programs of the church; maximizing effectiveness and keeping in line with the established goals.  She is responsible for the oversight of administrative matters allowing the senior pastor concentrate on the overall spiritual growth of the church.

Membership Care Director

The Membership Care Ministry is an extension of Pastoral Care. Under the direction of the Pastor, the Membership Care Ministry serves to aid and assist in meeting the needs of the Church Membership as well as community with any liturgical or ecumenical concerns that may arise.

Spiritual Development Coordinator

The Spiritual Development Coordinator at New Jerusalem is responsible for designing, leading and implementing learning activities and the development of programs to help meet church-wide ministry needs in order to assist ministries with achieving their goals.

 Rev. Tracy Ward

Youth Minister

 

Rev. Tracy Ward is the Youth Minister at New Jerusalem and has been since 2009. She was licensed as a Minister in 2009, and was ordained a reverend in 2014; however, Rev. Ward has served the Worship Center continuously throughout the years in various capacities, including as a Trustee, Vacation Bible School staff and Adult Sunday School Teacher.

 
Rev. Ward is an elementary school teacher with the New York City Department of Education.  Her career mirrors her ministerial work as she proclaims that she has a passion for teaching youth, children and adults.
